 Jenny Newman - 739268

I moved to Broad Town in 2003 and love living in the countryside, having been born and raised in London. I am a member of the Parish Plan Steering Group, a member of the WI committee and have recently joined the Parish Council.  I am looking forward to being more involved in the local community now that my daughter, Beth, will be joining the secondary school from September

Veronica Stubbings - 731131

I have lived in the Broad Town area for almost 30 years, and have two daughters who have grown up here. I have been an active and committed Councillor since 1995 and am also a member of the Broad Town Village Hall Committee, Wootton Bassett Memorial Hall Committee, and the Parish Plans Steering Group. I particularly value the character of our rural community.

Stuart Hinson

As a recently-qualified lecturer at Wiltshire College Lackham, I have lived in Broad Town for only three years and so I am very much a newcomer to the village (and this area). However, as the first elected Parish Councillor in many years, I hope to bring a new skillset to the table, and to contribute to the council – and thus the village - in other ways, to compensate for the lack of local knowledge. For example, I much prefer to make a considered and informed decision after digesting a large amount of information, rather than an immediate gut-instinct decision. My impression so far is that this is a very pertinent characteristic for a councillor in any tier of local government. As a specialist in mathematics and electronics, I am logical, methodical, thorough and pragmatic – all are also useful characteristics for this new role.

Nigel Crocker - 731281

I was born in the village and have lived in the village all my life.  I am married to Ann and have two step children and two grandchildren.  Until my retirement in 2004 I was the local milkman and for many years had an association with Broad Town Village Show.  I have been a committee member of Broad Town Village Hall for over twenty years and more recently the chairman and booking secretary.  I have also been a councillor for some time.

Roy Davey - 731154

Having retired twice, I moved to Broad Town over 15 years ago, and have been involved with the Paish Council, initially as a Councillor, and then as Clerk, for over 10 years. I have been called ascerbic but really I am just a Grumpy Old Man.
